Peas are up

Peas are coming up -- everywhere, it turns out. I had forgotten I planted them in so many spots.

Also, a mystery plant. Tiny, but interesting:

The house is getting to look only half-lived in because of all the otherwise work I've been doing. So far this week I've planted:

1 quart of onion sets, here and at EH
3 lbs of yukon gold potatoes
10 asparagus crowns

EH has a big problem with bindweed and crab grass. I wish I could run all the soil through a sieve as I dig to plant potatoes. I'm putting down landscape cloth and black plastic to temporarily keep the weeds down until it is time to dig the areas I'll be putting squash and beans in.
